With the August Bank Holiday weekend looming ever closer, airports, airlines and cabin crew all over the UK are preparing for one of the busiest periods of year.
British Airways expect some 500,000 passengers to be flying with them over the weekend. The team are preparing to supply their passengers with a staggering 10,000 bottles of bubbly, 93,000 bottles of wine and 234,000 cups of tea and coffee to go with around 400,000 in-flight meals.
2,304 flight crew will be on duty as well as 5,292 cabin crew who will be handing out an estimated 50,000 newspapers and 3,000 sky kits.
Manchester Airport is expecting around 340,000 passengers to pass through to both domestic and international destinations this August Bank Holiday weekend. This is an increase of 8.5% from last year’s figures.
The general advice for travelling during this peak season is to arrive at the airport for your flight plenty of time before your flight departs, ensuring that you can pass through potential queues without any risk of being late.
The team at Only Exclusive Travel wishes you happy travelling this August Bank Holiday Weekend!
