Days 1-2
Arrive in Muscat and transfer to The Chedi Muscat, an elegant beachfront retreat set amongst beautifully landscaped gardens.
Settle into the resort and enjoy your first evening relaxing by the pool or taking in the views of the Gulf of Oman.
Spend the day discovering the highlights of Oman's capital. Visit the magnificent Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque before exploring the old quarter of Muscat, home to Al Alam Palace and the historic Portuguese forts.
Continue to Muttrah Souq and the Corniche before returning to The Chedi for a relaxed evening.
Days 3-4
Take to the water on a private boat trip along Oman's spectacular coastline. Look out for dolphins before continuing towards the Daymaniyat Islands, where there is time to swim and snorkel in the clear waters.
Return to The Chedi for a leisurely afternoon and perhaps some time in the spa.
Leave Muscat behind and travel inland towards the Al Hajar Mountains, stopping at Nizwa en route.
Explore Nizwa Fort and Souq before continuing into the mountains to Alila Jabal Akhdar, dramatically positioned around 2,000 metres above sea level. The resort's clifftop setting offers spectacular views across the surrounding ravines and mountains.
Days 5-6
Wake to spectacular mountain views before setting out to explore Jabal Akhdar.
Walk through traditional mountain villages and terraced orchards, where pomegranates, apricots and roses are grown, or enjoy one of the trails around the resort. Alternatively, spend the day relaxing by Alila's infinity pool overlooking the mountains.
Enjoy another day amongst the mountains, with the option to visit Wadi Bani Habib, explore the surrounding villages or venture further towards Jabal Shams.
Back at Alila, make the most of the spa and dramatic mountain setting before another evening beneath the clear mountain skies.
Day 7
Leave the mountains behind and descend towards the Wahiba Sands.
The journey takes you from the cool heights of Jabal Akhdar into the golden desert landscape, with the option to stop for lunch and explore local villages along the way.
Meet your camp team and transfer by 4x4 into the dunes before arriving at Magic Camps Wahiba Sands, an intimate desert retreat with just 16 luxury canvas tents.
Settle into your tent before watching the sunset from the dunes, followed by dinner beneath the stars.
Days 8-9
Spend the day experiencing the desert at a slower pace.
Head out on a 4x4 adventure across the dunes, try a camel ride or visit a traditional Bedouin settlement to learn more about life in the desert.
Return to camp for an afternoon at leisure, followed by sunset drinks, dinner and an evening around the campfire beneath the stars.
Enjoy a final unhurried day at Magic Camps. Take an early morning walk across the dunes, relax at camp or arrange a private desert experience.
As evening falls, watch the changing colours of the sands before one final dinner beneath the Arabian night sky.
Days 10-11
Leave the desert behind and travel back towards Muscat.
Arrive at The Chedi Muscat for your final night in Oman and spend the afternoon relaxing at the resort, with time for a final swim, spa treatment or dinner overlooking the Gulf.
Enjoy breakfast at The Chedi before transferring to Muscat International Airport for your onward flight home.
