Day 1

Arrive at Colombo's Bandaranaike International Airport and transfer to The Wallawwa, a beautifully restored 18th-century manor house surrounded by tropical gardens. The property is specifically positioned as an easy and tranquil first or final stop, just 20 minutes from the airport.

Settle into your peaceful surroundings and enjoy a relaxed afternoon, perhaps with time by the pool, a spa treatment or dinner in the gardens.

Days 2-3

After breakfast, begin your journey north-east into Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle, with the drive to Uga Ulagalla taking approximately 4 hours. On arrival, check into your secluded luxury villa, set within 58 acres of tropical gardens, paddy fields and countryside. Spend the afternoon relaxing and enjoying the tranquil surroundings.

Rise early for a privately guided visit to Sigiriya Rock Fortress, one of Sri Lanka's most iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Return to Uga Ulagalla for breakfast and a leisurely afternoon.

Day 4

Leave the Cultural Triangle behind and travel south towards Kandy, with the journey taking approximately 3–3.5 hours by private vehicle. Stop at the spectacular Dambulla Cave Temples en route before continuing into the hills.

Arrive at W15 Hanthana Estate, a beautifully restored tea-estate bungalow surrounded by the Hanthana hills and approximately 15 minutes from central Kandy. Spend the afternoon enjoying the estate’s gardens, mountain views and peaceful surroundings.

Days 5-6

After breakfast, travel approximately 15 minutes into Kandy to visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of Sri Lanka’s most important Buddhist sites. Continue onwards into the Central Highlands, with the journey to Ceylon Tea Trails taking approximately 2.5 hours, travelling through spectacular mountain scenery and emerald tea plantations.

Arrive at your historic planter’s bungalow and spend the afternoon enjoying traditional afternoon tea, relaxing by the pool or exploring the surrounding estate.

Spend a full day immersed in Sri Lanka’s famous tea country. Take a private guided walk through the plantations, visit a working tea factory and learn about the production of Ceylon tea. Alternatively, enjoy one of the estate’s scenic walking trails, a picnic overlooking the valley or simply relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Day 7

After breakfast, transfer to Castlereagh Reservoir, where you’ll board a seaplane for a 30 minute scenic flight south towards Weerawila, the gateway to Yala National Park.

On arrival, transfer by private vehicle to Wild Coast Tented Lodge, situated on the edge of Yala National Park. Settle into your luxurious cocoon-style tent and enjoy the spectacular wilderness setting, perhaps with a leisurely lunch followed by a sundowner.

The seaplane operates seasonally, so for travel between May and October, a private road transfer would be required.

Days 8-9

Rise early for a private safari in Yala National Park, accompanied by an expert ranger and naturalist in search of elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles and the park’s famous leopards.

Return to Wild Coast for breakfast and a relaxed afternoon, with the option of a second game drive, guided nature walk or time beside the pool.

After breakfast, leave the wilderness behind and travel south towards Amanwella, with the journey taking approximately 3.5–4 hours by private vehicle.

Arrive at this secluded beachfront retreat in Tangalle and spend the afternoon unwinding on the golden beach, beside the pool or in the privacy of your suite, enjoying the peaceful Indian Ocean setting.

Days 10-11

Enjoy a completely relaxed day at Amanwella. Spend time on the beach, enjoy a spa treatment or simply make the most of the resort’s beautiful setting. For those wanting to explore, there are opportunities for wildlife, cycling, temple visits and other experiences nearby.

After breakfast, travel west along the southern coast for 90 minutes to Amangalla.

On arrival, check into this iconic heritage hotel within the walls of Galle Fort. Spend the afternoon exploring the atmospheric lanes, boutiques and galleries, or simply relax at the hotel before dinner.

Days 12-13

Enjoy a leisurely day exploring Galle Fort with a private guide, discovering its Dutch colonial architecture, historic ramparts, churches, galleries and independent boutiques.

Return to Amangalla for afternoon tea, some time by the pool or a treatment at the Aman Spa before enjoying your final evening within the atmospheric Fort.

Enjoy a final leisurely breakfast before your private 2 hour transfer to Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport and check in for your flight home.
