Days 1-2
Arrive into San José and transfer approximately 20 minutes to Finca Rosa Blanca, a charming boutique retreat set within an organic coffee plantation in the lush Central Valley. Settle into the beautifully designed surroundings, with time to relax by the pool and enjoy your first evening in Costa Rica.
Spend the day discovering the resort's organic coffee plantation and learning more about Costa Rica's renowned coffee culture. Alternatively, relax and enjoy the peaceful setting, beautiful mountain views and farm-to-table cuisine at this unique countryside retreat.
Days 3-4
After breakfast, transfer approximately 2.5 hours to the Pacuare River before continuing by raft for around 1.5 hours through the rainforest to reach Pacuare Lodge. Hidden deep within the jungle on the banks of the river, this luxurious lodge offers an immersive wilderness experience with stylish accommodation and private outdoor spaces.
Spend a full day surrounded by the incredible rainforest, with opportunities for white-water rafting, hiking, wildlife spotting and cultural experiences. Back at the lodge, enjoy the peaceful riverside setting, with time to relax and perhaps indulge in a treatment at the spa.
Day 5
Raft out of Pacuare before continuing by private vehicle towards the Central Valley, with approximately 4–5 hours of total travel. Arrive at El Silencio Lodge & Spa, a Relais & Châteaux secluded mountain retreat surrounded by cloud forest, waterfalls and lush vegetation, and spend the afternoon settling into your peaceful surroundings.
Days 6-7
Spend the day exploring the private reserve surrounding El Silencio, with guided nature trails and spectacular waterfalls to discover. Return to the lodge to relax in your private outdoor hot tub or enjoy some downtime at the spa.
Enjoy another day in the beautiful Central Highlands, perhaps venturing to Poás Volcano or exploring more of the surrounding cloud forest.
Day 8
Leave the cloud forest behind and transfer approximately 2 hours to Arenal. Arrive at Nayara Springs, an adults-only sanctuary tucked into lush tropical gardens, where luxurious villas feature private plunge pools and access to the region's natural hot springs.
Days 9-10
Spend the day exploring the spectacular Arenal region, with rainforest walks, hanging bridges and wildlife experiences available. Return to Nayara Springs to relax amongst the gardens, with views towards the iconic volcano.
Enjoy a slower-paced day at Nayara Springs, making the most of your private plunge pool and the resort's natural hot springs. Alternatively, indulge in a spa treatment or enjoy one of the property's excellent restaurants surrounded by rainforest.
Days 11-18
Transfer approximately 1.5-2 hours from Arenal to the Peninsula Papagayo, arriving at the luxurious Four Seasons Resort set between tropical forest and the Pacific Ocean. Spend the next 7 nights relaxing and making the most of this beautiful coastal setting, with time for beach days, boat trips, kayaking, paddleboarding, wildlife walks and spa treatments, alongside the resort’s exceptional dining and facilities.
Enjoy a final breakfast before your approximately 40-minute transfer to Liberia International Airport for your onward flight home.
